What I did
Led the development of the design system, ensuring consistency across 53 Desktop screens and 54 Native App screens.
Worked closely with three other skilled designers to solidify visual style and page interactions.
Optimized original wireframes and implemented best UX practices and logic for horoscopes and moon phases.

I found that Lien became the unofficial voice of the Cadet team during the Interactive Academy. She really stood out in regards to facilitating team meetings and her specific contributions to both the capstone project and mini-project. She applies the feedback appropriately, began to challenge suggestions respectfully and was a very strong member of the Interactive Academy.

Through competitive analysis and astrology research, I noticed that our original flow grouped daily and moon-based horoscopes together, even though they update at different frequencies. Daily horoscopes refresh every 24 hours, while moon-based content shifts only when the lunar phase changes. This mismatch led users to expect updates at the wrong cadence.
I separated these into two distinct categories: Daily Horoscopes and Moon Insights. Users could now see that their daily reading changes every day, while lunar guidance updates only with moon cycles.
This adjustment reduced confusion and set accurate update expectations. By aligning the information architecture with actual astrological rhythms rather than forcing a single bucket, the experience now feels more understandable and intuitive to users.
For the visual direction, I focused on themes of cosmic exploration and introspection. I used deep midnight tones with bright star-like accents to evoke the feeling of a night sky. Soft gradients, subtle constellation patterns, and organic cosmic textures helped create a sense of depth and curiosity without overwhelming the interface.
Applying the Mood Board to the UI
After structuring the wireframes of the features, I applied the mood board, using deep sky backgrounds, star-like accents, and light constellation motifs. The desktop layout feels wide and immersive, while the mobile version stacks into a clean vertical flow. This preserves the same tone, hierarchy, and visual identity across breakpoints.
